Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in assigned clinical units (ER, ICU, Med-Surg, Telemetry)
- Administer medications, treatments, and diagnostic procedures per physician orders
- Monitor patient status and document accurately in EMR systems (EPIC/Cerner)
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Ensure compliance with JCAHO, OSHA, and facility-specific protocols
- Provide patient/family education on health conditions and discharge planning
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and infection control measures
Qualifications
- Active RN license in good standing (AZ compact license preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience in specialty area
- BLS/ACLS certifications required; PALS/NRP preferred based on unit
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR)
- Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and protocols
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
- Flexibility for 8/12-hour shifts and weekend coverage
- Pass background check and drug screening
