Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms with sterile equipment and instruments before procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and enforce infection control protocols
- Account for surgical instruments and supplies using count systems
- Transport patients to/from operating rooms and position them for procedures
- Process and sterilize reusable surgical equipment
- Document procedural details and equipment usage
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years of scrub experience in Level I trauma center
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Knowledge of orthopedic/neurosurgical procedures preferred
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods and lift 50+ lbs
- Strong attention to detail and sterile technique
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
