Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining a sterile field.
- Prepare operating rooms, sterilize equipment, and ensure surgical instruments are functioning correctly.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and provide pre-operative and post-operative care.
- Properly handle and process specimens and surgical specimens.
- Document patient information and surgical procedures accurately.
- Collaborate effectively with nurses, anesthesiologists, and other surgical staff.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program.
- Certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required.
- CPR/BLS certification (American Heart Association) required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a hospital or surgical setting preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
