Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented Scrub Tech to prepare operating rooms, assist surgeons during procedures, and maintain strict sterile environments. If you are passionate about healthcare and ready to make a difference, we want to meet you.
Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by arranging sterile equipment and supplies, ensuring all instruments are in proper working order and count.
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and sterile goods, anticipating the specific needs of the surgical team.
- Maintain a sterile field and adhere strictly to aseptic techniques to prevent surgical site infections.
- Monitor patient vital signs during surgery and promptly communicate any changes to the nursing staff or surgeon.
- Count sponges, needles, and instruments before and after surgical procedures to ensure zero loss.
- Transport patients to and from the operating suite using standard transfer techniques.
- Ensure the operating room remains clean, organized, and sanitized at all times, following safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA) certification required.
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital or surgical center setting preferred.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certifications must be current.
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, anatomy, and medical terminology.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
