Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures by arranging sterile equipment and supplies.
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and sterile supplies.
- Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to strict infection control protocols.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs and surgical data accurately.
- Ensure patient safety by adhering to aseptic techniques and proper sterilization procedures.
- Communicate effectively with the surgical team to ensure seamless operations.
- Properly handle and dispose of surgical specimens and waste materials.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program.
- Certified Surgical Technician (CST) or Certification eligible.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certifications required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital or surgical setting preferred.
- Ability to stand for long periods and handle the physical demands of the OR.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Valid Arizona driver’s license and reliable transportation.
