Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain sterile surgical fields, equipment, and instrumentation
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Ensure proper sterilization and handling of all surgical equipment
- Monitor inventory and order supplies for surgical suites
- Document procedural activities accurately in electronic health records
- Adhere to strict aseptic techniques and safety protocols
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for seamless patient care
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification
- Minimum 2 years of recent surgical tech experience
- Proficiency in sterile processing and equipment maintenance
- Knowledge of major surgical specialties (Ortho, General, Neuro)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in high-pressure environments
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
