Responsibilities
- Preoperative Prep: Set up operating rooms with instruments, equipment, and supplies, ensuring everything is sterile and functioning correctly.
- Surgical Assistance: Pass instruments and sterile supplies to surgeons during procedures with speed and accuracy.
- Patient Safety: Maintain sterile fields, prevent infection, and anticipate the needs of the surgical team.
- Vital Monitoring: Observe patients for any adverse reactions during surgery and alert the appropriate medical staff immediately.
- Specimen Handling: Collect and label surgical specimens for laboratory analysis.
- OR Maintenance: Ensure the operating room is cleaned and organized after each procedure.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED is required; Completion of a Surgical Technology program is preferred but not required if you qualify for our paid training track.
- Training Commitment: Must be willing to participate in our comprehensive paid training program to obtain required certifications.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs as required by the role.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous nature essential for maintaining sterile environments and handling delicate instruments.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
