Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications according to physician orders.
- Verify and process insurance claims accurately and efficiently.
- Assist customers with medication questions and provide exceptional customer service.
- Manage inventory levels, including ordering and stocking pharmaceutical supplies.
- Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations, including HIPAA.
- Perform quality assurance checks on all dispensed medications.
- Collaborate with pharmacists on complex cases and refill authorizations.
Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification required (or willing to obtain).
- Current and valid Pharmacy Technician license in California.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Basic computer literacy and experience with pharmacy management software.
