Responsibilities
- Assist the surgical team during operations, anticipating needs and ensuring patient safety.
- Prepare operating rooms, sterilize equipment, and maintain a sterile environment.
- Handle and process surgical instruments, sutures, and supplies with precision.
- Transport patients to and from the operating suite, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the nursing staff immediately.
- Document surgical procedures and maintain accurate patient records.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
- Certified Surgical Technician (CST) or Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) credential required.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an acute care or operating room setting.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork abilities.
