Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing equipment, arranging instruments, and ensuring sterility protocols
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments, holding retractors, and managing sterile fields
- Monitor inventory of surgical supplies and coordinate equipment sterilization processes
- Document procedural details and maintain accurate patient records
- Collaborate with nurses and anesthesiologists to ensure seamless surgical workflows
- Respond to emergency situations with calm professionalism and technical precision
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent credential required
- Minimum 2 years of recent surgical tech experience in acute care setting
- Expertise in sterile processing and OSHA compliance protocols
- Strong knowledge of surgical instrumentation across multiple specialties
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
