Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing equipment, arranging instruments, and setting up sterile fields
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments, holding retractors, and managing supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and implement infection control protocols
- Inventory and manage surgical supplies, ensuring optimal availability
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure seamless case flow
- Document procedural activities accurately in electronic health records
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years of recent surgical tech experience
- Knowledge of sterile processing and aseptic techniques
- Experience in orthopedic, general surgery, and trauma procedures
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced surgical environments
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
