Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing equipment and setting up surgical instruments
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Manage surgical supplies and inventory with precision and efficiency
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and infection control protocols
- Monitor patient vital signs and equipment functionality during surgeries
- Document procedures accurately and maintain sterile environments
- Collaborate with surgical teams to optimize workflow and patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent credential required
- Minimum 2 years of recent surgical tech experience in OR setting
- Strong knowledge of sterile processing and surgical instrumentation
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure emergency situations
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Experience with minimally invasive surgical techniques preferred
