Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms, sterilize equipment, and arrange surgical instruments
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and adhere to infection control protocols
- Document procedural activities accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless patient care
- Manage inventory and restock surgical supplies between cases
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- 1+ years of recent operating room experience preferred
- BLS/CPR certification from American Heart Association
- Strong knowledge of sterile processing and surgical instruments
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced surgical environments
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to cover various surgical specialties
