Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing equipment and arranging sterile instruments
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Monitor patient vital signs and equipment functionality during operations
- Handle biological specimens and maintain proper documentation protocols
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and hospital safety standards
- Manage inventory and restock supplies for surgical suites
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for surgical processes
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years of recent surgical tech experience
- Graduate from accredited surgical technology program
- BLS certification with current renewal date
- Expertise in orthopedic, general, or cardiovascular procedures
- Strong knowledge of sterilization techniques and aseptic practices
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure surgical environments
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
