Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain inventory of dental supplies
- Assist dentists during procedures including oral surgery, restorations, and cosmetic treatments
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with digital imaging systems
- Manage patient records using Dentrix/Eaglesoft software and HIPAA compliance protocols
- Provide chairside support including suction, instrument transfer, and patient education
- Coordinate patient flow and assist with scheduling and billing inquiries
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification (DANB or accredited program)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and practice management software
- CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to comfort anxious patients
- Knowledge of OSHA and infection control protocols
- Spanish fluency strongly preferred for diverse patient population
