Responsibilities
- Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment
- Assist surgeons during procedures including wound closure and dressing application
- Maintain sterile field protocols and inventory management
- Document surgical cases accurately and maintain equipment records
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize surgical workflows
- Train on advanced surgical technologies and techniques
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years of OR experience in acute care setting
- Expertise in sterile processing and HIPAA compliance
- Ability to anticipate surgeon needs during complex procedures
- Valid Hawaii state license
- Advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) certification preferred
