Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by arranging sterile equipment and instruments before surgery.
- Ensure the sterile field is maintained throughout surgical procedures.
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments, sponges, and sutures promptly.
- Monitor patient vital signs and alert the surgical team to any changes.
- Handle specimen processing and manage inventory of sterile supplies.
- Perform pre-operative and post-operative patient care preparation.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or completion of an accredited surgical technology program.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or surgical setting.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Strong knowledge of aseptic technique and surgical procedures.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and communicate effectively with the surgical team.
