Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing equipment and arranging surgical instruments
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Monitor patient vital signs and equipment functionality throughout surgeries
- Handle surgical specimens for proper lab processing
- Manage inventory and restock supplies post-procedure
- Adhere to strict aseptic protocols and safety standards
- Document procedural details accurately in electronic health records
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years of recent OR experience
- Knowledge of sterile processing and instrumentation
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Completion of accredited surgical technology program
- BLS/CPR certification
- Familiarity with minimally invasive surgical techniques preferred
