Responsibilities
- Prepare and sterilize surgical equipment and instruments
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile fields and enforce aseptic techniques
- Count and document surgical supplies before/after procedures
- Operate specialized equipment like endoscopic cameras and robotic systems
- Transport patients and prepare operating rooms
- Provide post-operative equipment cleanup and sterilization
Qualifications
- Accredited Surgical Technologist program graduate or equivalent experience
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred
- Minimum 1 year scrub experience in general surgery
- Expertise in sterile processing and equipment handling
- Strong knowledge of surgical instrumentation and procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Valid Minnesota state license
