Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain sterile fields, surgical instruments, and equipment according to hospital protocols
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments, sutures, and supplies
- Ensure proper sterilization and handling of surgical equipment
- Monitor inventory and equipment functionality, reporting maintenance needs
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless patient care
- Adhere to strict infection control and safety standards
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years of recent surgical tech experience
- Knowledge of sterile processing and equipment handling
- Strong understanding of surgical procedures and instrumentation
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Valid BLS certification
- Experience with minimally invasive surgical equipment preferred
