Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and sterilize equipment and instruments for procedures.
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and other sterile supplies.
- Maintain aseptic techniques to ensure patient and staff safety.
- Monitor and manage stock levels of surgical supplies and order replacements as needed.
- Document patient medical histories and surgical procedures accurately.
- Ensure the operating room environment remains clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Current Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or CMA (AAMA).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital or surgical setting.
- CPR/BLS certification is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of surgical anatomy and aseptic technique.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork abilities.
