Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by arranging instruments, equipment, and supplies.
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and other sterile supplies.
- Maintain aseptic conditions during surgical procedures.
- Count sponges, needles, and instruments before and after surgery to ensure security.
- Prepare patients for surgery by washing, shaving, and sterilizing incision sites.
- Monitor and document operating room supplies and equipment.
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital or surgical setting preferred.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certifications required.
- Strong knowledge of sterile techniques and surgical procedures.
- Ability to stand for long periods and work in high-pressure environments.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
