Your Role:
As a Surgical Technologist, you will be a critical member of the surgical team, ensuring that every procedure is performed safely and efficiently. You will prepare the operating room, assist surgeons, and maintain the highest standards of sterility.
Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms, surgical instruments, and supplies for surgical procedures.
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and sterile supplies.
- Maintain a sterile field and adhere to aseptic techniques throughout the surgery.
- Count sponges, needles, and instruments to ensure nothing is retained in the patient.
- Monitor the patient's vital signs and communicate changes to the surgical team.
- Prepare and apply sterile dressings to incision sites post-procedure.
- Document patient information and surgical counts accurately.
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- 1-3 years of recent experience in a hospital or surgical center setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of surgical anatomy, procedures, and sterilization techniques.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and assist with patient movement.
