Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile fields and surgical instruments according to protocol
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environment in operating rooms and procedural areas
- Handle and process surgical equipment using sterilization techniques
- Document procedural activities accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with surgical team to ensure efficient case turnover
- Participate in continuous education and skills development programs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Completion of accredited Surgical Technology program OR willingness to complete our paid training program
- Certification eligibility (CST) within 6 months of hire
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong attention to detail and sterile technique compliance
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Pass background check and drug screening
