Responsibilities
- Assist surgical teams with instrument preparation and sterile field maintenance
- Pass surgical instruments and supplies to surgeons during procedures
- Ensure proper sterilization and handling of medical equipment
- Prepare operating rooms and equipment for surgical procedures
- Monitor inventory and restock surgical supplies
- Adhere to strict aseptic techniques and safety protocols
- Document procedural activities accurately in medical records
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program preferred
- Certification (CST) within 12 months of hire
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
- Valid CPR certification or obtain within 30 days
