Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms with sterile instruments and equipment
- Assist surgeons during procedures with instrument passing and sterile field maintenance
- Manage sterile supply inventory and equipment sterilization
- Document procedural details accurately in electronic health records
- Maintain strict aseptic techniques in all surgical environments
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless patient care
Qualifications
- No prior surgical tech experience required
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Basic computer skills for documentation systems
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Valid CPR certification or willingness to obtain during training
