Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing equipment and arranging sterile instruments
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Count supplies and instruments before and after surgeries to ensure completeness
- Transport patients to/from operating rooms and position them correctly
- Manage surgical supplies inventory and restock operating rooms
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and infection control standards
- Document procedural activities accurately in electronic health records
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of accredited Surgical Technology program preferred but not mandatory
- Certification (CST) obtainable within 12 months of hire
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Background check and drug screen required
- Must pass pre-employment skills assessment
