Responsibilities
- Process and submit clean claims to insurance companies and government payers
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits before service delivery
- Follow up on denied claims and appeals with meticulous documentation
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and coding standards (ICD-10, CPT)
- Reconcile accounts receivable and resolve payment discrepancies
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure accurate charge capture
- Generate monthly billing reports for financial analysis
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of medical billing experience in a US healthcare setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or equivalent certification preferred
- Proficiency in medical billing software (e.g., Epic, Cerner, or NextGen)
- Deep knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
- Strong understanding of insurance claim processes and reimbursement cycles
