Responsibilities
- Assist in Surgical Procedures: Prepare operating rooms by setting up instruments, sterile drapes, and equipment.
- Patient Safety: Maintain a sterile field during surgeries and ensure patient safety at all times.
- Instrument Management: Count sponges, needles, and instruments before and after procedures to ensure nothing is left behind.
- Communication: Assist surgeons by passing instruments and other sterile supplies during operations.
- Pre-Op Prep: Prepare patients for surgery by washing, shaving, and sterilizing the incision area.
- Post-Op Care: Transfer patients to recovery rooms and assist in cleaning the operating suite.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience: No prior surgical experience required. On-the-job training provided.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous nature required for sterile field maintenance.
- Communication Skills: Ability to follow instructions clearly and communicate effectively with the surgical team.
- Background: Must pass a background check and drug screening.
