Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by setting up sterile fields, instruments, and equipment
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and adhere to aseptic techniques
- Handle and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment
- Document procedures accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with nurses and anesthesia teams
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Tech in Surgery - Certified (TS-C)
- Graduate of accredited surgical technology program
- Minimum 1 year OR experience preferred
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Knowledge of sterile processing standards
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
- Experience with electronic health records
