Responsibilities
- Conduct Patient Intake: Greet patients, verify insurance information, and accurately record vital signs during check-in.
- Clinical Support: Assist physicians and nurses with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments.
- Administrative Duties: Manage patient charts, schedule appointments, and process laboratory specimens.
- Lab Work: Perform basic phlebotomy and point-of-care testing (POCT) as required.
- Communication: Educate patients on medications, procedures, and follow-up care instructions.
- Infection Control: Maintain strict adherence to sterilization and hygiene protocols to ensure a safe environment.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) certification is preferred.
- Licensure: Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a hospital or clinic setting.
- Skills: Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) software and medical terminology.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a patient-centric approach.
- Flexibility: Ability to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
