Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and sterile fields for surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and enforce infection control protocols
- Handle surgical specimens and equipment decontamination
- Document perioperative procedures accurately
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams
- Manage surgical inventory and equipment maintenance
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- 1+ years of OR experience preferred
- Knowledge of sterile processing and surgical instrumentation
- Strong understanding of anatomy and surgical procedures
- Ability to thrive in high-pressure, fast-paced environments
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- BLS certification required
- Graduate of accredited Surgical Technology program
