Key Responsibilities
Your role will be critical in ensuring smooth surgical operations. You will work closely with the surgical team to provide the highest level of patient care.
Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons and nursing staff during operative procedures, anticipating instrument needs.
- Prepare operating rooms, instruments, and supplies for surgical procedures.
- Maintain strict sterile field protocols and ensure proper sterilization of equipment.
- Monitor the patient's vital signs and respond to any changes during surgery.
- Document procedures accurately and maintain inventory of surgical supplies.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, safety regulations, and infection control standards.
Qualifications
- Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required.
- Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or ambulatory surgery center preferred.
- Strong knowledge of surgical anatomy, instruments, and procedures.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well under pressure.
