Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and sterile environments for surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile fields and ensure compliance with OSHA standards
- Handle surgical equipment sterilization and inventory management
- Complete electronic documentation remotely when not in OR
- Collaborate with surgical team for efficient patient turnover
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years OR experience in acute care setting
- BLS certification required
- Familiarity with robotic surgery systems preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for prolonged periods
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Comfort with hybrid work model (80% on-site, 20% remote)
- Tennessee state license or eligibility
