Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and sterile supplies.
- Prepare operating rooms and sterilize surgical equipment.
- Maintain a sterile field and monitor patient vitals during procedures.
- Handle surgical specimens accurately for lab analysis.
- Communicate effectively with the surgical team to ensure patient safety.
- Adhere to strict hospital protocols regarding infection control and hygiene.
- Position patients and drape them for surgical procedures.
Qualifications
- Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification.
- Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program.
- State licensure or registration (where applicable).
- CPR/BLS certification required.
- 1-3 years of clinical experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a high-pressure environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
