Job Description

As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring surgical procedures are carried out smoothly, safely, and efficiently. You will collaborate closely with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesiologists to prepare operating rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain a sterile field throughout procedures.
Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures by arranging sterile equipment and supplies.
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and materials promptly and accurately.
- Count sponges, needles, and instruments before and after procedures to maintain accurate records.
- Maintain a sterile field and monitor for breaks in technique.
- Transport patients to and from the operating suite with care and safety.
- Document patient care provided and any changes in condition in the medical record.
- Ensure proper cleaning, sterilization, and maintenance of surgical instruments and equipment.
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required.
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- 1-2 years of experience in a hospital or surgical center setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of aseptic technique and surgical procedures.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients or equipment as needed.
