Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms with sterile equipment and supplies
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Handle surgical specimens and ensure proper documentation
- Monitor inventory and restock surgical supplies
- Adhere to strict infection control protocols and OSHA standards
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams
- Maintain equipment calibration and sterilization logs
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required
- Minimum 2 years recent OR experience
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Knowledge of surgical procedures across specialties
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts including nights/weekends
