Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in medical-surgical, ER, ICU, or specialty units as assigned
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and facility protocols
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in EMR systems
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Ensure compliance with JCAHO, OSHA, and facility-specific safety standards
- Participate in shift handoffs and maintain accurate patient records
- Maintain sterile techniques and infection control protocols
- Adapt quickly to new healthcare environments and patient populations
Qualifications
- Active RN license in good standing (or compact state eligibility)
- Minimum 2 years recent acute care experience in specialty area
- ACLS/BLS certifications required; additional certifications preferred per unit
- Graduate of accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
- Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong clinical skills and critical thinking abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to pass background checks and facility-specific screenings
