Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in assigned clinical setting (ER, ICU, MedSurg, etc.)
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per physician orders
- Monitor patient vital signs and document electronic health records accurately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
- Educate patients and families on health conditions and discharge protocols
- Adhere to facility policies, JCAHO standards, and nursing protocols
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas or compact state
- Minimum 1-2 years recent acute care experience
- BLS/ACLS certifications required (facility-specific certs may apply)
- Graduate of accredited nursing program (ADN/BSN)
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and protocols
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
- Flexibility for 13-week assignments with possible extensions
