Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality direct patient care in acute care settings including ICU, ER, and Med-Surg units
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per physician orders and facility protocols
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes in condition with appropriate interventions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in EMR systems
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, JCAHO, and state nursing regulations
- Maintain sterile techniques and infection control standards
Qualifications
- Active RN license in good standing (or eligible for Texas compact license)
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care nursing experience
- BLS, ACLS, and other required certifications per facility requirements
- Graduation from accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
- Strong assessment skills and ability to work autonomously
- Flexibility to adapt to new environments and protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Valid driver's license for travel assignments
