Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in assigned clinical areas (ER, ICU, Med-Surg, Telemetry)
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per physician orders
- Monitor patient vital signs and assess for changes in condition
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Document patient encounters accurately and maintain electronic health records
- Educate patients and families on health conditions and discharge planning
- Adhere to hospital policies, safety protocols, and regulatory standards
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education
Qualifications
- Active RN license in good standing (NV compact license preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- BSN degree preferred (ADN candidates with experience considered)
- Proficiency in EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, etc.)
- Strong critical thinking and clinical decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and patient populations
