Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in designated clinical units (ICU, ER, Med-Surg, etc.)
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Monitor and document patient vital signs and condition changes
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop treatment plans
- Educate patients and families on health conditions and discharge plans
- Maintain accurate medical records using electronic health systems
- Adhere to hospital protocols, OSHA standards, and state regulations
Qualifications
- Active RN license in good standing (or compact state)
- 1+ years of recent acute care experience in specialty area
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred for critical care roles
- Graduation from accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
- Flexibility to adapt to new clinical environments quickly
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights/weekends as needed
- Pass background check and drug screening
