Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional patient care across diverse healthcare settings including ICU, ER, and telemetry units
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans
- Adhere to strict infection control protocols and regulatory compliance standards
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using EMR systems
- Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and families
- Assist in emergency response situations and critical care interventions
- Maintain accurate medical records and coordinate with healthcare providers
Qualifications
- Active RN license in New York State or compact state eligibility
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience in specialty area
- BLS and ACLS certifications required (additional certifications per unit)
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and protocols
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills
- Flexibility to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Valid driver's license for potential travel assignments
