Responsibilities
- Chairside Assistance: Assist the dentist during examinations, treatments, and procedures, ensuring all instruments and materials are prepared and ready.
- Patient Care: Greet patients, escort them to the operatory, and explain procedures to help alleviate anxiety.
- Digital Radiography: Take and process dental X-rays using our state-of-the-art digital imaging systems.
- Infection Control: Maintain strict sterilization and sanitation protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Record Keeping: Update and maintain accurate patient charts, treatment plans, and medical histories.
- Oral Health Education: Provide post-treatment instructions and educate patients on proper at-home oral hygiene techniques.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current Dental Assistant certification (CDA) or registration from an accredited program.
- Licensure: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a general dentistry setting preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency in dental software (e.g., Eaglesoft, Dentrix) is a plus.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Flexibility: Ability to work a full-time schedule, including some evenings or weekends as needed.
