Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional patient care in diverse clinical settings including ICU, ER, and Med-Surg units
- Adhere to hospital protocols and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with JCAHO standards
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Provide patient and family education on health conditions and treatment protocols
- Monitor patient responses to interventions and adjust care plans accordingly
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and hospital committees
- Maintain current BLS/ACLS certifications and complete facility-specific orientations
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Minnesota or compact state with ability to obtain MN license
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience in specialty area
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (PALS required for certain units)
- Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to new clinical environments and protocols
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
