About the Role:
As a Travel RN in Houston, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional patient outcomes. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the highest standard of care while adapting to new environments with ease.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient conditions and develop individualized nursing care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any significant changes to the healthcare team immediately.
- Document patient history, assessments, and interventions accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Provide patient education and discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and other staff to optimize patient recovery.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, safety regulations, and Joint Commission standards.
Qualifications
- License: Current, active, and unencumbered RN license in the state of Texas.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of recent clinical experience in a hospital setting.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required; specialty certifications preferred.
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
- Skills: Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) and strong critical thinking skills.
- Availability: Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
