Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status through comprehensive physical exams, history taking, and symptom analysis.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with medical orders and facility protocols.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans based on patient needs and clinical outcomes.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary to ensure recovery goals are met.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential medical records and documentation.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and critical situations within the unit.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing (FL Compact or FL specific).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care or relevant nursing experience preferred for travel roles.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Valid, unencumbered nursing license.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Flexibility to adapt to different hospital units and schedules as required by the assignment.
- CPR and other department-specific certifications as mandated by state regulations.
