Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient care in diverse hospital settings including ICU, ER, and Med-Surg units
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Administer medications and treatments per facility protocols and state regulations
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in electronic health records
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and Joint Commission standards
- Provide patient education and discharge planning to support recovery goals
- Adapt quickly to new clinical environments and healthcare technologies
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Alaska or compact state (we provide licensure assistance)
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience in specialty area
- BLS/ACLS certifications required; TNCC/PALS preferred based on unit
- Graduate of accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Flexibility to adapt to varying shift schedules and patient acuity levels
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Passing background check and drug screening required
