Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in acute care settings including ICU, ER, and Med-Surg units
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and document patient progress accurately
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Ensure compliance with JCAHO standards and hospital protocols
- Adapt quickly to new environments and healthcare systems
- Maintain sterile techniques and infection control procedures
- Participate in patient education and discharge planning
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Maryland or compact state
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and relevant specialty certifications (e.g., TNCC, PALS)
- BSN preferred (ADN considered with experience)
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights/weekends
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
- Flexibility to travel and adapt to new clinical settings
