Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and prioritize cases based on medical urgency
- Provide accurate clinical guidance via telephone triage protocols
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary care teams
- Document patient interactions and care plans in EHR systems
- Educate patients on appropriate care pathways and resources
- Monitor patient conditions and escalate critical cases immediately
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and regulatory standards
Qualifications
- Active RN license in California (CA BRN)
- Minimum 2 years ER or urgent care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- BSN preferred (ADN with experience considered)
- Strong assessment and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Experience with Epic or similar EHR systems
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations
